Leading Executive from Thermo Electron Informatics Joins Ardenno to Drive Global Growth
Philadelphia, PA. USA and Manchester, UK - (12 April 2006) Ardenno Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of Collaborative Knowledge Management software solutions for research and development, today announced that laboratory industry veteran and research product visionary Joe Peden has joined the company as it's new president and chief operating officer. Mr. Peden's focus is to grow the company's global presence in the research and development collaborative knowledge management market. He is responsible for providing leadership to Ardenno's functional departments including sales and marketing, product development, and professional services.
Mr. Peden has had a distinguished career in designing, marketing, and selling laboratory information management solutions. He is a named inventor for the Laboratory workflows included in the Thermo Electron Nautilus LIMS solution; covered by US Patent US 6,594,588. With more than 17 experience years in the laboratory and research and development industry, Mr. Peden was most recently with industry titan Thermo Electron Corporation, where he was the senior director of marketing and product management for its Informatics Group. He has also held various positions at Pharmacia, before joining LabSystems (acquired later by Thermo Electron). Previous responsibilities at LabSystems/Thermo Electron included the development of strategic partnerships for the laboratory information management group heading initiatives to launch new products into new markets and existing market segments, such as Bio-Informatics research and development.
Mr. Peden earned his B.Sc. in Genetics and Microbiology and his M.Sc. in Biotechnology from the Queen's University of Belfast, where he graduated with honors. Mr. Peden is a frequent invited speaker at industry conferences.
